managerial, operational and supervisory positions involved in
such industrial applications as powder metallurgy, food,
pigments, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals,

Professor Norman Harnby; School of Engineering, University of Bradford, England
Professor Norman Harnby is currently a visiting professor at
both the University of Leeds and the University of Bradford,
England. He has been active in powder mixing research for
over forty years and has been involved with industry on a
consultancy basis throughout Europe and the Americas. Prior
to his academic career, he was involved with plant operation
and design with ICI, Ltd. He served two terms as a Visiting
Professor at Iowa State University.
Professor Harnby has numerous publications in the field of
powder mixing technology and co-authored a book in this field.
He has been the recipient of a NATO Research Travel
Scholarship and Senior Fulbright Scholarship and is a Fellow of
the Institution of Chemical Engineers (U.K.). Professor Harnby,
a Chartered Engineer of the U.K., received his Ph.D. in
Chemical Engineering from the University of Bradford and his
B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
