Who Should Attend
The course is intended for personnel such as process designers and engineers who are involved in the design, retrofitting, specification, operation, maintenance and optimization of fired process heaters in the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical and allied industries.

Description
This course will provide an insight into the basics of thermal and mechanical design of furnaces, and the safe and efficient operation of this equipment. Emphasis will be on common design methods, consideration of fuel type, combustion chemistry and heat release, and combustion air supply and control. Mechanical factors will include burners, refractories, instrumentation, tube design, and corrosion and fouling mitigation. Techniques to improve efficiency, operate safely and meet emission guidelines will be reviewed.
