Who Should Attend
This course will benefit medical investigators,
research and development scientists, clinical
research associates (monitors), and regulatory
affairs specialists. It will be of particular value to
those involved in the design and analysis of
research investigations. The lectures are oriented
toward professionals having minimal formal training
in statistics or computers. Consequently, no
extensive background in mathematics beyond
algebra, or in statistics or personal computers will be
required.
Description
This course, which features hands-on personal
computer workshops, is designed to cover the
statistical techniques required by more complex
research investigations. Topics discussed will
include:
- Methods for the analysis of experiments or clinical
trials with more than two treatments
- Current practices for determining the
bioequivalence of two compounds
- The analysis of dose response studies
- Predicting one variable from another—regression
analysis.
