Description
This two-day practical course explores the structure of the English language and how it varies from the world’s other languages. It explains why mastering English is more difficult for certain non-native writers and focuses on the elements of the language that are especially problematic, and provides guidance for mastering them.
In hands-on workshops you will learn techniques for expanding and using your working vocabulary and explore options for delivering information. You will learn how to recognize language elements such as subjects, verbs, and modifiers. You will learn how to compose grammatical sentences that deliver your messages clearly and effectively. Specific emphasis will be on elements that are especially problematic for non-native writers of English, such as prepositions, articles, and verb tenses. You are encouraged to bring your language questions to the course.
