Description
Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into electricity using turbines and generators. Currently wind-powered generators provide less
than 2 % of the worldwide electricity demand, but electric output has doubled over the past three years. In this webinar the current state
of power generation using wind is presented along with leveraging technological and economic issues. The future potential for the utilization of
wind power is explored along with the associated economic and environmental costs and benefits. Expected breakthroughs in technology along
with future economic targets are presented.
Module 1:
• Wind Turbine Overview
• Wind Turbine Configuration
• Measuring the Wind and Estimating the
