Nava Dayan, Ph.D.; Skin Care Research Expert
Dr. Nava Dayan holds a bachelors degree in pharmaceutics, a
masters in both pharmaceutics and pharmacology and a Ph.D.
in pharmaceutics specializing in skin delivery systems. She is
an Associate Adjunct Professor in the Ernst Mario School of
Pharmacy at Rutgers University. In her 20 year career in
research and development of topically applied formulations and
skin care, Dr. Dayan has specialized in many areas of research
including:-
The interaction between topically applied compounds and the skin
- Innovation in the development of active compounds
- Delivery systems and finished formulations for skin treatment
- Delivery of active compounds into and through the skin
- In vitro and in vivo testing for skin permeation and metabolism
- The design of studies to substantiate market claims
Dr. Dayan established a network of research institutions and is
active in the following organizations to promote collaboration
between the industry and the academia: American Association
of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and Controlled Release
Society (CD&P, CRS). She is an active member of the Society
of Cosmetic Chemists and the organizer and moderator of the
scientific program of the Annual Cosmeceuticals Summit and
on the scientific advisory board of the HBA Global Expo.
