Eric Abrutyn, is Senior Product Development Leader of Kao Brands Company. Mr. Eric Abrutyn is a graduate of New York University-New Paltz with a Masters in Chemistry (1980) and of C.W. Post College with a B.S. in Chemistry (1970). He has over thirty years experience in the cosmetic and toiletries industry and is an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (past Chairperson for the Midwest Chapter & Ohio Valley Chapter, and Area II Director); he worked for Dow Corning Corporation as Senior Personal Care Industry Specialist. Past experience has been with Wickhen Products as Director of R/D and Amerchol as a bench chemist. Mr. Abrutyn has contributed to the industry with numerous international scientific papers/presentations, articles, and authors of books, holds many patents in the cosmetic and allied industries, and has taught courses for The Center for Professional Advancement, Fairleigh Dickenson, and Society of Cosmetic Chemists continuing education. His expertise lies in global antiperspirant & deodorant technologies, skin care, silicone technology and in controlled release. Eric has been a member of the CTFA International Nomenclature Committee for over 12 years and currently is Chairperson.
