Description
More and more plastic fabricators and users find that a
monolayer and/or a monophase polymer is not adequate
or economic for their application. As a result, coextruded
structures are fast growing routes to improved products
for many applications.
This course is primarily designed to provide a thorough
understanding of the principles of coextrusion, as well as
its niche and advantages in plastics fabrication. Fully
discussed are the technologies applicable to all
multipolymer systems: polymer rheology, polymer flow
calculations, polymer compatibility, and
adhesive/compatibilizing polymers.
