Who Should Attend
This course is intended for senior process operators,
newly promoted supervisors and all entry level
personnel needing a quick yet comprehensive survey
of tablet production. Entry level quality assurance,
warehouse and packaging personnel will also benefit
from the intensive program. Regulatory Affairs
Specialists involved in CMC and manufacturing data
will also gain valuable information from this course. This
course is not intended for higher level technical and
senior managerial personnel, for whom other related
courses are available.
Description
This course provides an orientation and understanding
of bulk tablet production for process operators and
first-line supervisors. The course begins with the basic
aspects of tablet formulating and the unit operations
necessary to produce production quantities. All
aspects of granulating, compressing, coating, printing,
cleaning and documenting will be covered. The
application of cGMP, as applied to tableting operations,
will also be presented.
Important supporting operations such as tool and die
maintenance, tablet inspection, basic validation
principles, sanitation fundamentals, proper materials
weighing techniques and equipment automation will be
presented.
The course includes two workshops and discussion
periods between faculty and course participants.
Problem-solving sessions are held on both an open
and private basis.
